If you're one of our Mac App Store users running OS X 10.6, you are probably wondering what on Earth has happened with the Scrivener 2.4 update. What you'll find is, if you download Scrivener 2.4 from the Mac App Store, on OS X 10.6 you will be told that Scrivener is damaged and cannot be run. While the App Store launched on the iPhone in July 2008, the Mac App Store did not become available until January 6, 2011, when Apple released Mac OS X Snow Leopard version 10.6.6. I would like to upgrade my OS from 10.6.8, however the APP Store application is missing from my computer. Apparently, I cannot access the store without the app to download any upgrades. Also, my start up disks were lost in my last move, so reinstalling snow leopard to regain the app isn't an option. Is it possible to install the app store from another source? Could I do a factory reset without my startup disks? Or could I just purchase and install OS X Lion and upgrade from there?
